Positive Influence Team (PIT) Founder, Stan Ross, will present at a National Virtual Conference for U.S. Probation Pre-Trial Officers on Tuesday, January 26th through Wednesday January 27, 2021.The virtual conference theme is called Recipes for Success! Achieving Progress Through Key Ingredients, and is held for Probation Officer Chiefs and Deputy Chiefs across the country.

From incorporating national research and evidence-based framework from probation and pretrial offices across the country, participants will hear and learn about key ingredients to achieve progress: how to effectively work remotely and out of a pandemic; steps to accountability; the importance of balance, cultural awareness, relevance and sensitivity; and the key to becoming better together.Stan will present on effective methods of mentorship and coaching that probation officers can utilize with re-entry and returning citizens from U.S. federal prisons.PIT’s Mentoring Re-Entry Program techniques enable probationers to adopt positive attitudes, change negative behaviors and achieve personal development goals. These techniques help probationers to re-engage with their families and within the community through cognitive behavior restructuring.Stan will introduce probationers that have participated in the program to discuss their positive experiences.

The mentoring program prevents probationers from becoming repeat offenders, and often results in a reduction of years off of probation length. Many graduates come back to their group as mentors.
